JOXU EDGE
First USB flash.
This is the cable path. Skip it if you have an Original JOXU Edge — that board is already flashed. Use USB for a blank SuperMini, a board flashed before OTA existed, or recovery if a remote update fails.
What you need
An ESP32-C3 SuperMini with native USB-C and at least 4 MB flash (LED on GPIO8). A computer running Chrome or Edge on HTTPS. Your JOXU password. Safari, iPhone and iPad cannot flash over USB.
Open Devices
Sign in, open Devices, pick the installation, then click Add remote. If an Edge card is already there, open Manage device instead.
Plug in USB-C
Connect the SuperMini to the computer. On macOS the port looks like cu.usbmodem. Hold BOOT for about five seconds only if you need to wipe Wi-Fi and the device token.
Install over USB
Click Install over USB. Chrome or Edge opens the serial picker. Pick the ESP32-C3 USB JTAG/serial port, not Bluetooth.
Erase only when empty
Tick Erase for a new or bricked board. Leave it off for a USB update so house Wi-Fi and the device token stay. Then click Install. JOXU writes bootloader, partitions and the app.
Create an enrollment code
Confirm your JOXU password on the same Devices card and create a 24-hour code. Keep that password filled in so you can Couple afterwards.
Join JoxuEnergyXXXX
The board raises a Wi-Fi named JoxuEnergy plus the last four MAC characters. Join it, open http://10.0.0.1, pick the house network, enter the password and the code.
Couple to the inverter
When the board is waiting, enter the inverter LAN IP and unit id (GoodWe factory is 247) and click Couple. Dashboard stands can then go over local Modbus. Mode 7 stays blocked.
Confirm the version
Click Read board version. Current JOXU Edge and On this board should match. After that, later images can go over remote OTA without the cable.
