WATER HEATER

Your Viessmann API client.

JOXU does not keep a shared Viessmann app. Each owner creates a personal client in the official Developer Portal with the same ViCare account that can see the cylinder.

What you need

The ViCare email and password that already control the heat pump in the Viessmann app. A browser. About five minutes. You do not need a JOXU developer account.

  1. Open the Developer Portal

Go to app.developer.viessmann.com and sign in with that ViCare email and password — not your JOXU password.

  2. Add a client

On My Dashboard find Your clients and click Add. This client belongs to you. JOXU stores it in your account only.

  3. Name it JOXU, leave reCAPTCHA off

Name: JOXU. Google reCAPTCHA: Disabled. If reCAPTCHA stays on, JOXU cannot finish the ViCare login.

vicare://oauth-callback/everest
Redirect URI. Paste this exact value in the Developer Portal client. A different URI will fail.
  1. Paste this redirect URI exactly

Redirect URIs must be vicare://oauth-callback/everest — copy it from this page, including the colon and slashes. Save the client.

  2. Copy the Client ID

The portal shows a Client ID after save. Copy that string. There is no client secret for this public PKCE client.

  3. Paste it on Devices

In JOXU open Devices → Add water heater → Viessmann. Paste the Client ID, then the same ViCare email and password, and save.
